Ezio are from Cambridge, I live in Newcastle Upon Tyne. There's not many bands I would travel over 200 miles to see, let me tell you. Come to think of it, there's not many I would travel over 20 miles to see so Ezio are in a very exclusive club of one!

One, of course, is really two as Ezio doesn't travel alone. In the provinces, Booga is always by his side so this was a nice treat to hear them both play in front of a full band.

Ezio were introduced to me by a work colleague who kindly let me borrow a CD. I was instantly hooked by the story song-writing, desperately sad at times but always extremely powerful. And that voice! Clearly, however, the vast majority of the music listening public don't agree with me. It's almost an instant reaction whenever I mention their name that the person opposite has a confused look on his/her face and always replies with "who?". I felt vindicated last night when even Ezio thanked the audience for their patience. "I know you're waiting for the hits" he said "It's just, I haven't had any". Further proof, if it was needed, that the masses prefer commercial X Factor karaoke.

Song-writing at it's very best: Brave Man, Saxon Street, Just To Talk To You Again, Cancel Today, Deeper, One More Walk Around The Dancefloor, Steal Away, The Angel Song, just to name a few. When asked recently if he could sing only one more song what would it be, Ezio eventually answered A Thousand Years.

Pick any of these songs, give them a good listen and welcome to the world of Ezio!
